Jory Glazener
Jory Glazener was born in England in 1974 and was introduced to art at an early age through his mother. He spent his childhood sketching and copying the works of other artists.
He attended the University of Texas where he earned Dean's List status and a major in business and economics. After working as a corporate investment banker with Hambrecht and Quist and Chase/J.P.Morgan within the technology and telecom industries, he left banking to start his own Consulting and Design Company.
In late 2003, he moved to Asheville, NC to pursue his passions and again spend his days drawing. It was then that he met Benjamin F. Long and began his formal training as a student of Ben’s school, the Fine Art’s League of Asheville. Jory later became apprenticed to Ben and a member of his team gaining experience in the Art of Fresco.
Jory currently maintains a studio in Florence, Italy where he is further advancing his skills in painting and drawing while traveling throughout Europe and continuing his role on Ben’s Fresco endeavors.
"My passion and my aim is to bridge that gap between eye and hand so that I may create freely and interpret effortlessly. I am searching for insight into the inherent distortion within the mind’s translation of visual data. I study in order to correct these processes so that I may articulate my thoughts and feelings accurately. I desire a sensitive and elegant solution."
